Per AKC as of this date......the SV is accepted fully into AKC as of 6/27/07. The letter follows.

Dear Ms. Smyka:
It is my great pleasure to inform you that at the October 2006 Board meeting, the AKC Board of Directors approved the Swedish Vallhund to be eligible to compete in the Herding Group effective June 27, 2007.
The club will need to provide the educational information and photographs to the Judging Operations Department for use in a Judges Guide that will be added to the AKC Web site. This is the link to where this will be posted for you to review what other clubs have developed.
