AKC Update 6/01
As of April, 2001, the AKC suspended all FSS breeds from participation in agility, obedience and tracking trials. They stated that this was due to the concern voiced by many AKC delegates of too many new breeds being introduced into the AKC.
The SVCA Board sent a letter to the AKC expressing their concerns regarding this withdrawal of privileges.
The Board of the AKC was to take up this matter in June, 2001.
This is the result of the special meeting called for by the AKC Board in June, 2001.
