SVCA Winners History
SVCA Trophies and Winners:
1. Marilyn Thell Perpetual Trophy for Best of Breed at the
National Specialty Show.
Instituted in 1993 to honor Ms. Thell who brought the SV to the USA in 1985.
The plaque is held by the winner for one year.
2. The Kirkholme Cup for Best of Breed at the National Specialty Show. Mr. And
Mrs. Peacock offered this cup in 1995. It is held by the winner for one year.
3. The Cranham Cup for Best of opposite Sex at the National Specialty Show. Hazel Cranham offered this silver bowl in 1994. A plaque engraved with the winners name accompanies the bowl. Both are held by the winner for one year.
4. The Hurstfield Drawing for most winning bitch of the year. Ms. Jacqui Bayliss offered this handsome framed drawing in 1995. The drawing of an exemplary Swedish Vallhund is the work of two fine English artists. Mr. Ralph Wilkes died before the drawing was finished. It was completed by Meriel Golbraith. It is held by the winner for one year.
5. The ACKE ACKSPETTS Perpetual Trophy to Best Veteran at Specialty. Donated by Britta Hammerstrom, 2004. Large Crystal Trophy with accompanying book of winners and certificates. It is held by the winner for one year
6. The CLARA
CLUCK Perpetual Trophy for Best Puppy at Specialty. Donated by Britta
Hammerstrom, 2004. Small Crystal Viking ShipTrophy with accompanying book of
winners and certificates. It is held by the winner for one year.
7. The “For the Boyz" Perpetual Trophy
Plaque for Winners Dog at the National Specialty. Donated by Gail Smyka, Gaelen
& Taliesen, 2005. Plaque with accompanying book of winners. . It is held by the
winner until 60days prior to the next National Specialty.
Perpetual Trophies are held by the winners for one year and then returned for the next specialty per policy. Winners from 2005 onwards shall be sent a farmable certificate from the SVCA stating their winning status for their permanent possession.
